This week's painting. 1.5 hrs- it's a welded statue of a robot. I was struggling with the subject and received some great help- you can easily spot which strokes aren't mine! I learned some great lessons about value and laying down the brush!

This week's painting session. oil on board- 1 - 1.5 hours of actual painting. It's a bunch of baseball equipment if you can't tell what the content is. The baseballs are those triangular things- which is how they are shaped in real life.

Here are a couple of small paintings from my sketchbook. Starting to practice painting here as well. The flowers are watercolor and the Japanese doll is a cheap gouache.

Trying to learn to Paint!

starting to learn how to paint-This is a still life study of about 1.5-2 hrs (oil on board). I've been attending some painting sessions once a week at work and I'm learning a lot! The paintings are starting kinda ugly, but I'm improving. Hopefully I will be able to have a lot of updates in the coming weeks-Also, this was taken with my iphone so the quality and color are a little off.
