These are a deer and a raccoon skull.  We painted them for a still life session on Friday morning.  Painting the range of color that shows up on white subject is a really fun challenge to tackle.
Here are some pastels from a workshop I took at work.  The emphasis was on light and color- I learned a ton! These pieces were done around the Eastbay, and many of them in overcast lighting. We had an 1-1.5 hrs to paint at a given session.
